MARDUK Prepare To Record New Album
August 22, 2002Sweden's MARDUK will enter Abyss studio in early September to begin recording their new, as-yet-untitled full-length album for a tentative February 2003 release. According to the group's official web site, "the band will record the basics of the album at first and then go back in November to put the final touch to the opus. The reason for this is studio engineer Peter Tägtgren's touring commitments during October. A single/7" will be released in mid January followed by the full-length in mid-February, as it looks right now. The album will be followed by a massive European tour of 40-50 shows. The band and their management are looking into a lot of offers in other parts of the world but nothing is confirmed yet. About the US issue the INS have not given any thumbs-up yet, but requested more material."
